MVR 80 Million Allocated for Police Station Construction from PSIP Budget
The Ministry of Finance and Planning has allocated MVR 80 million from the PSIP budget for the construction of police stations, marking the largest expenditure in the National Security and Public Order sector. Overall, PSIP spending for National Security projects totaled MVR 109 million, while the total PSIP budget reached MVR 7.5 billion for this year. Looking ahead, MVR 9.3 billion is planned for urban development and other initiatives in the next fiscal year.

The Ministry of Finance and Planning reports an expenditure of MVR 80 million from the PSIP budget for police buildings and stations. The police sector received the largest share of PSIP spending under National Security and Public Order projects.
Court building construction was the second highest expense, totaling MVR 20 million. Overall, PSIP spending for National Security projects reached MVR 109 million, while defense projects incurred MVR 1.4 million and rehabilitation projects MVR 3.6 million.
This year's PSIP budget reached MVR 7.5 billion, with MVR 12.4 billion allocated. Airport development projects accounted for the highest individual expense at MVR 3.2 billion. For next year, MVR 9.3 billion is earmarked for urban development and other projects, representing 14 percent of the total budget.
