Myanmar Investment Commission Approves Seven New Projects Worth $182.6 Million
The Myanmar Investment Commission has authorized seven investments totaling $182.6 million, which are expected to create approximately 3,572 jobs. This includes a significant project for electricity production using natural gas, highlighting the growing energy sector in Myanmar.

The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) has approved seven investments on February 20, 2019, during its 3/2019 meeting in Yangon, amounting to $182.629 million. Key projects include natural gas-based electricity production, garment manufacturing, and an industrial complex.
These initiatives are projected to generate around 3,572 job opportunities. From 2018 to 2019, MIC permitted 92 investments totaling $1,032.215 million, increasing the total investment to $1,496.698 million with the inclusion of these new projects. The expanding investment landscape indicates potential growth in Myanmar's industrial and energy sectors.
