Naga Students Federation Demands Termination of 109 Illegal Appointments in Nagaland Government
The Naga Students Federation (NSF) has called for the termination of 109 illegal appointments across 16 departments in Nagaland within 45 days. They allege these appointments, made between 2018 and 2023, bypassed the Nagaland Staff Selection Board and the Nagaland Public Service Commission, violating procedural regulations. The NSF emphasized the need for meritocracy and transparency in public service employment, urging immediate action from the chief secretary to support deserving candidates.

The Naga Students Federation (NSF) demands the termination of 109 illegal appointments across 16 Nagaland government departments within 45 days. Allegations state that these appointments, made from 2018 to 2023, were executed without the oversight of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board and the Nagaland Public Service Commission, violating established procedural regulations.
The NSF highlighted 32 illegal appointments in the Nagaland State Transport Department, 11 in the Public Health Engineering Department, and various others across departments including Home Guard & Civil Defense and Nagaland Public Works Department. They urged the chief secretary to act decisively to ensure fair opportunities for deserving youth.
