Nano Nuclear has achieved conceptual design milestones for its HALEU transportation package in partnership with GNS. Their subsidiary, Advanced Fuel Transportation (AFT), developed two optimized payload baskets for transporting multiple advanced fuel forms, including uranium oxide and molten salt reactor fuel.

The package has passed an NRC Quality Assurance program, indicating regulatory compliance. Future steps will involve full regulatory engagement and certification. This development complements Nano's ongoing Kronos microreactor project at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which has received state support. The transport package could generate revenue ahead of commercial microreactor operations, enhancing Nano's integrated approach in the nuclear sector.
