Natilus Secures $28 Million Series A for Blended-Wing Aircraft Development
DEFENSE
Natilus has raised $28 million in Series A financing, led by Draper Associates, to commercialize its blended-wing aircraft. The funding will complete the prototype of the KONA regional cargo plane, set to fly in 24 months, and support the HORIZON EVO, a 200+-passenger aircraft.
Natilus has 570+ aircraft orders valued at $24 billion, responding to a global demand shortfall of 15,000 planes over 20 years. The optionally-piloted KONA is being considered for U.S. defense applications. Natilus is pursuing FAA certification and establishing a manufacturing site for 60 KONA per year.
