National Fuel Gas Company (NFG) announced its acquisition of CenterPoint Energy's Ohio natural gas utility business for $2.5 billion. The deal, set to close in Q4 2026, will double NFG's gas utility rate base and expand its customer base to 1.1 million.

NFG reported fourth-quarter fiscal 2025 earnings of $1.22 per share, a 58% increase year-over-year, with annual revenue at $2.28 billion. The company has consistently raised dividends for 123 years, with a current yield of approximately 2.6%.

Additionally, NFG is advancing pipeline projects, including the Shippingport Lateral, expected to generate $15 million annually. The company's upstream business contributes 68% of earnings, positioning it well for future growth.
