National Guard to Equip Reservists with Modern Combat Gear from Israeli Suppliers
The National Guard will modernize its reservists' equipment by providing new personal combat gear sourced from Israeli suppliers, including helmets, battle vests, and protective eyewear, following a contract with Source Vagabond and Marom Dolphin. Priority will be given to special forces and critical units, with full implementation expected within five years. Additionally, the National Guard has requested camping gear from the U.S. to improve field living conditions.

The National Guard will equip all reservists with modern personal combat gear, aligning with active duty forces. This initiative was discussed during the Parliamentary Defence Committee's final 2025 session.
Equipment will include new combat helmets, battle vests, backpacks, and protective eyewear, with a contract signed with Israeli companies Source Vagabond and Marom Dolphin for annual deliveries. Special forces and critical units will receive priority, with full implementation expected within five years. Additionally, the National Guard has requested canvas camping gear from the U.S. through the Excess Defense Articles programme, including various tents, sleeping bags, and camouflage nets to enhance field living conditions.
