Natural Gas Production to Double with Casadura Project in Trinidad and Tobago
The Casadura gas facility in Trinidad and Tobago is set to nearly double its output from 10 to 20 million standard cubic feet per day. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance gas production reliability and strengthen the energy sector amid increasing international interest.

The arrival of heavy equipment at Point Lisas port marks a significant advancement for the Casadura gas facility, which will support a gas compression project expected to double production by June. The components, shipped from Houston by Touchstone Exploration, are designed to stabilize operations along the National Gas Company's pipeline.
Over the past year, gas production has improved, with national output rising from 52,000 to 65,000 barrels per day. The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago reported a profit of $3.2 billion, the highest in 11 years.
Ongoing exploration activities, including ExxonMobil's seismic data acquisition, are projected to conclude by August. The government is actively pursuing energy cooperation in the region, with efforts to streamline approvals and reduce regulatory delays. These developments reflect growing international confidence in Trinidad and Tobago's energy sector.
