Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 Returns to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command After Over a Decade
Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 has returned to the U.S. Indo-Pacific area of responsibility after completing a transfer of authority with NMCB 4, marking its first deployment in over ten years. Stationed at Camp Shields in Okinawa, the battalion will provide expeditionary construction and engineering support across the region, enhancing operational readiness and strategic partnerships.

NMCB 11 has returned to the U.S. Indo-Pacific area of responsibility after completing a Relief-in-Place/Transfer-of-Authority with NMCB 4. This marks the battalion's first deployment in over a decade, stationed at Camp Shields, Okinawa.
NMCB 11 will operate across multiple sites, providing expeditionary construction, general engineering, and force-protection capabilities in support of U.S. Navy and coalition forces. The deployment emphasizes interoperability with allies and regional security, reinforcing the legacy of Seabees in the Indo-Pacific while enhancing operational readiness in the region.
