Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division Achieves Small Business Contract Goals for Fiscal 2025
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) surpassed its small business contracting goals for fiscal 2025, awarding 55% of its $426 million in contracts to small businesses, exceeding the 52% target. The command allocated $106 million to small, disadvantaged businesses (25% of contracts), surpassing the 21% goal, and over $53 million (13%) to service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses, exceeding the 11% target.
Women-owned businesses received just over $32 million, slightly below the 8% goal, while $2 million went to businesses in historically underutilized business zones, also marginally below the target. Over the past five years, NSWC PHD has obligated $2.2 billion in contracts, with 63% awarded to small businesses.
The command's outreach efforts increased the number of small business partners by 40%, with about 140 small enterprises engaged. NSWC PHD's commitment to small businesses aims to strengthen the defense industrial base.
