NC AI has launched the K-Physical AI Alliance, a consortium of 53 entities, including Samsung SDS, KAIST, and Seoul National University, to develop foundation models for physical AI as part of a project led by the Institute for Information & Communications Planning and Evaluation. The alliance aims to overcome 'physical hallucination' issues in AI by creating models that link virtual and real-world operations.

The consortium will utilize South Korea's robust manufacturing infrastructure and high robot density to train AI models. Operational testing will occur in environments provided by Samsung SDS, with continuous feedback to enhance model performance.
