NCBC Gulfport Completes $3.2 Million Fuel Facility Modernization
The Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport has completed a $3.2 million upgrade to its Defense Fuel Support Point. This modernization enhances energy resilience, environmental protection, and mission readiness for Navy operations.

The Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport has finalized a multi-year, $3.2 million modernization of its Defense Fuel Support Point, which includes a $1.6 million overhaul of fuel tanks and piping. Key features include dual fuel pumps inside tanks for hurricane resilience, a $1.2 million containment system to prevent fuel loss, and a $280,000 split-tank fuel truck for improved delivery efficiency.
The facility now meets current regulations and minimizes long-term maintenance costs. These upgrades strengthen security, enhance environmental safeguards, and improve operational capabilities, ensuring NCBC Gulfport can effectively support Navy missions.
