NDDC Commits to Supporting Security Agencies for Peace in Niger Delta
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has pledged to collaborate with security agencies to foster peace and development in the Niger Delta. During a meeting with Rear Admiral Olugbenga Oladipo, the NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, emphasized the crucial link between security and development, detailing NDDC's support for military initiatives in the region. Oladipo reaffirmed the Joint Task Force's commitment to ensuring a secure environment conducive to economic growth and increased oil production.

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) confirmed its commitment to collaborating with security agencies to maintain peace and enhance development in the Niger Delta. During a visit from Rear Admiral Olugbenga Oladipo, Commander of the Joint Task Force, South-South, NDDC Managing Director Dr.
Samuel Ogbuku emphasized the interdependence of security and development. Ogbuku highlighted several NDDC interventions, including support for the 16 Brigade in Bayelsa and a major army base project in Warri.
He noted that sustained peace would lead to economic opportunities and job creation. Oladipo stated the JTF's mandate is to protect the region and ensure a secure environment for economic activities, seeking continued partnership with the NDDC for increased oil production and lasting peace.
