Neptune Robotics Invests US$12 Million in Singapore Facility for Autonomous Ship Hull Cleaning Expansion
Neptune Robotics is allocating US$12 million to establish a new manufacturing and R&D facility in Singapore, aiming for a 400% increase in autonomous hull cleaning capacity by the end of 2026. This expansion is pivotal as it will enhance AI and robotics capabilities to combat biofouling, significantly impacting maritime emissions and operational efficiency.

Neptune Robotics is investing US$12 million in a new facility in Singapore to enhance its autonomous ship hull cleaning operations. This expansion follows a US$52 million Series B funding round secured in September 2025, aimed at reducing maritime carbon emissions through automated maintenance.
By 2027, Neptune plans to achieve a daily cleaning capacity of 60 hulls, increasing local capacity by 400%. The facility will focus on advancing AI-driven technologies, enabling operation in adverse conditions.
As Neptune services 70% of Asia's primary shipping lanes, this development is crucial for shipowners facing heightened fuel costs and sustainability regulations. The company will exhibit its technologies during Singapore Maritime Week from April 20-24, 2026.
