A delegation from the Netherlands, including Major General Rob de Wit and Ambassador Marisa Gerards, visited Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) to discuss maritime defense cooperation. The visit included a briefing on CSL's capabilities, its ongoing projects, and a tour of vessels for Dutch clients.
The Netherlands has invested approximately $43.75 billion in India from 2000 to 2023, enhancing its role as a key partner. The nations' strong bilateral defense relations focus on shipping and sustainable technologies, reinforced by a recent Letter of Intent on Defence Cooperation, indicating potential for advanced military hardware co-development.
