Nevada Air National Guard Expands Global Operations and Domestic Response in 2025
The Nevada Air National Guard has expanded its global operations and domestic response capabilities in 2025, completing Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica and supporting wildfire efforts in Colorado. The 152nd Airlift Wing logged significant flight hours, while the 232nd Combat Training Squadron improved F-35 refueling times. Additionally, the Guard enhanced military cooperation through its State Partnership Program with Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji, planning over 30 engagements for 2026.

The Nevada Air National Guard has established a presence on all seven continents, completing Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica in January 2025. Airmen from the 152nd Airlift Wing logged over 30 flight hours, transporting 39 passengers and cargo to McMurdo Station.
Following this, they supported wildfire responses in Los Angeles County, dropping approximately one million gallons of fire retardant in Colorado. The 232nd Combat Training Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base has enhanced combat readiness by improving F-35 refueling times.
The Guard also contributed to food distribution during the federal government shutdown, delivering over 134,000 pounds of supplies. Internationally, Nevada expanded its State Partnership Program to include Samoa, enhancing military cooperation with Tonga and Fiji. In 2026, Nevada plans over 30 engagements with these partners, strengthening global readiness and operational capabilities.
