New Air Force ROTC Detachment Established at UCCS
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs inaugurated Air Force ROTC Detachment 105A to facilitate local commissioning paths for students. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to military training while supporting the educational goals of prospective officers.

Air Force ROTC Detachment 105A officially opened at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) on August 27, providing a local commissioning route for students aiming to become second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force or U.S.
Space Force. This establishment reduces the logistical demands on cadets previously required to travel to the University of Colorado Boulder, enhancing local access to military training and leadership opportunities.
UCCS anticipates an enrollment of 80 to 100 cadets within the first year, contributing to the region's military and aerospace ecosystem, which includes several key military installations. The initiative is expected to foster community engagement and support for students pursuing military careers.
