New Army Cadet Detachment '6 Troop, East Cowes' to Open in Hampshire
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Army Cadet Force will open a new detachment, '6 Troop, East Cowes,' as part of Gallipoli Company. Parades will occur on Thursday evenings at Holy Cross Primary School, starting April 30. Recruitment is ongoing for youth aged 12-18, offering skills development and opportunities for personal growth.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Army Cadet Force is establishing a new detachment named '6 Troop, East Cowes.' This unit will be part of Gallipoli Company and aims to enhance the Army Cadet presence on the Isle of Wight, which already includes detachments in Newport, Ryde, Sandown, Godshill, and Freshwater.
The detachment will parade on Thursday evenings from 19:00 to 21:00 at Holy Cross Primary School, beginning April 30. Recruitment is currently in progress for young people aged 12 to 18, focusing on skills such as first aid, navigation, and teamwork, with events planned in Kings Square for further recruitment.
