New Commanders Appointed for ZODI in Venezuela's Barinas, Falcón, Delta Amacuro, and Monagas
New commanders have been appointed for the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zones (ZODI) in Venezuela, as Major General Gustavo Enrique Belizario Sánchez takes charge of ZODI Barinas, Major General José Herrera Duarte leads ZODI Falcón, Major General Miguel Andrés Chacín Socorro heads ZODI Delta Amacuro, and Major General José Gregorio Caldera Vivas assumes command of ZODI Monagas. These appointments, made by General-in-Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, underscore the Venezuelan military's commitment to maintaining sovereignty and addressing security challenges.

New heads of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zones (ZODI) in Venezuela have begun their tenures following appointments by General-in-Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB). Major General Gustavo Enrique Belizario Sánchez has taken command of ZODI Barinas, succeeding Major General Pablo Ernesto Lizano Colmenter.
Major General José Herrera Duarte assumed command of ZODI Falcón at a ceremony in Punto Fijo. Major General Miguel Andrés Chacín Socorro now leads ZODI Delta Amacuro, taking over from G/D Richard Rondón Liendo, with a focus on surveillance and combating illicit activities.
Major General José Gregorio Caldera Vivas has been appointed to ZODI Monagas, succeeding Major General Romerl Enrique Romero Domínguez. These transitions emphasize continuity in defense strategies and commitment to the protection of Venezuelan sovereignty.
