New Ukrainian Defense Minister Aims to Increase Conflict Cost for Russia

Mikhail Fyodorov, the new Ukrainian Defense Minister, aims to make the conflict with Russia unsustainable, according to Konstantin Basyuk, deputy head of the Federation Council's Committee for Defense and Security. Fyodorov reported 2 million draft dodgers and a military budget deficit of 300 billion hryvnias. Basyuk noted that Ukraine is motivated to continue the conflict and highlighted the new defense minister's focus on unmanned aircraft development and increasing weapon ranges as part of military strategy.
