NEXA Partners with DHS for Mobile Solutions Development with $100M Investment
NEXA has entered a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, backed by a $100 million investment. This partnership aims to enhance secure mobile device solutions in key areas such as cybersecurity and emergency response.

NEXA has initiated a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), focusing on mobile device solutions. This partnership is supported by a strategic investment of $100 million aimed at bolstering U.S.-based engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain security.
The CRADA will facilitate research and development of U.S.-designed mobility technologies tailored for DHS and similar organizations. NEXA's collaboration with Qualcomm will also advance 5G sidelink capabilities, allowing direct device-to-device communication without cellular networks.
The agreement builds on NEXA's previous success with the LOBO device for the U.S. Air Force, ensuring that future innovations meet the needs of first responders and homeland security. This initiative may significantly enhance operational readiness and communication reliability in critical situations.
