Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) and Arco Worldwide Services have launched the first Mobile Drone Operations Command Centre (MDOC) in Rivers State, aimed at improving drone operations for infrastructure protection. The MDOC, developed by Arco, is a retrofitted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter serving as a climate-controlled hub that integrates green energy systems.

It enables real-time surveillance of pipelines using the Sky Whale VTOL drone, which has a 60km operational range and three-hour endurance. The project emphasizes local engineering expertise and aims to address security challenges related to pipeline vandalism.
