On April 29, 2026, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), emphasized the NAF's commitment to intelligence-driven operations during a visit to Bauchi State. He directed that all missions be precise and focused on measurable outcomes to neutralize national security threats.
The CAS conducted an inspection of operational readiness and highlighted the need for effective asset maintenance and infrastructure improvements. Additionally, he is accelerating the acquisition of modern platforms and advanced intelligence systems, alongside training programs for personnel.
