On March 3, 2026, Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu directed the 4 Special Forces Command to intensify operations against terrorists and insurgents in Nigeria.

During his visit to Doma, Nasarawa State, he stressed the importance of precision-driven and intelligence-led tactics. Shaibu warned that the era of reactive engagements is over, ensuring terrorists will find no sanctuary in Nigeria.

He received briefings from Major General Olurotimi Azubuike Awolo and Brigadier General Umar Faruk Abubakar and approved the construction of new facilities to improve training and troop welfare. He reaffirmed a commitment to invest in training and logistics to maintain operational superiority.
