Nigerian Army Chief Directs 4 Special Forces to Intensify Operations Against Terrorists
Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, has ordered the 4 Special Forces Command to intensify high-impact operations to defeat terrorists and insurgents across Nigeria. This directive was issued during his operational visit to Doma, Nasarawa State, on March 3, 2026. Shaibu emphasized the need for precision and intelligence-led operations, warning that terrorists will find no sanctuary in Nigeria. He also approved the construction of additional facilities to enhance operational capacity and troop welfare.

He received briefings from Major General Olurotimi Azubuike Awolo and Brigadier General Umar Faruk Abubakar and approved the construction of new facilities to improve training and troop welfare. He reaffirmed a commitment to invest in training and logistics to maintain operational superiority.
