Nigerian Army Chief Urges Special Forces to Intensify Operations Against Terrorism
Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, has directed the 4 Special Forces Command to intensify operations to defeat terrorists and insurgents across Nigeria. This directive was issued during his operational visit to Doma, Nasarawa State, on March 3, 2026. He emphasized the need for precision-driven, intelligence-led operations and assured troops that their welfare is a priority. The COAS also approved the construction of facilities to enhance training and operational efficiency while promoting environmental responsibility through tree planting.
