Nigerian Army Commends Governor Radda for Renovating Family Quarters in Katsina Barracks
The Nigerian Army praised Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda for renovating 12 family quarters at the Corporal Below Quarters in Natsinta Army Barracks. Radda commissioned the renovations during a Christmas celebration with Christian communities at the barracks.
He acknowledged the 17 Brigade's role in maintaining security in the state, attributing local peace to the dedication of security personnel. Radda also expressed appreciation for military families' support and offered condolences to families of fallen soldiers.
During the event, he announced a ₦10 million donation to Christian families in the barracks. Brigadier General B.O. Omopariola, Commander of the 17 Brigade, thanked the Governor for funding the renovations, highlighting their role in improving the welfare of troops and families, aligning with the Army's transformation goals.
