In response to a terrorist attack in Kaiama, Kwara State, President Bola Tinubu has deployed a full military battalion and launched Operation Savanna Shield. This decision follows the massacre of 78 residents in Woro community, where 75 males and three females were killed for rejecting extremist ideologies.

The President condemned the violence, expressing outrage at the attack on community members and calling for cooperation between federal and state authorities to ensure justice. The victims were buried after funeral prayers on Wednesday evening.
