In Akwa Ibom State, a violent confrontation occurred between Nigerian Army troops and local youths during a diesel theft operation, leading to the discovery of an unidentified corpse. The body was found alongside a coffin in Ukpe Ete community after soldiers arrested a suspect involved in siphoning diesel from Sterling Petroleum and Fertilizer Limited.
The situation intensified when local youths attempted to free the suspect by barricading roads, resulting in violent resistance against the troops.
