Nigerian Army Launches 120 Flats and Solar Borehole at Kotoko Barracks
The Nigerian Army has inaugurated 120 housing units and a solar-powered borehole at Ribadu Cantonment in Kaduna. This initiative aims to enhance the living conditions of personnel, reflecting a commitment to soldier welfare and operational efficiency.

On Friday, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shu'aibu, inaugurated 120 flats and a 60,000-litre solar-powered borehole at Kotoko Barracks in Kaduna. This project is designed to improve the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel and their families, aligning with the Soldier First Culture and the COAS command philosophy.
The initiative follows the renovation of previously deplorable accommodations. The army leadership is focused on providing decent housing and essential services. Proper maintenance of the facilities is emphasized to encourage further welfare projects. Enhanced living conditions are expected to boost troop morale and operational effectiveness.
