The Gombe State Government confirmed the death of newly enlisted Nigerian Army recruit Ibrahim Nazifi at the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria, Kaduna State. Nazifi, part of the first batch from Gombe State in the Nigerian Army Regular Recruit Intake, died after a brief illness during training.

He was a native of Buba Bani village in Kashere Ward, Akko Local Government Area. The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, Ambassador Yusuf Danbayo, expressed condolences to Nazifi's family and emphasized the impact of his loss on the community and the state.
