The rescue occurred during an assault on a terrorist camp in the Adonkolo/Kakanda Forest, where troops engaged in a gun battle, leading to the recovery of weapons, camouflage, and documents.
Among the rescued was a soldier who had been abducted. Follow-up operations included ambushing fleeing terrorists and rescuing seven more victims from a separate incident along the Okene-Onyukoko road, highlighting the Army's commitment to counter-terrorism efforts in the region.
