Nigerian Army Rescues Kidnap Victim Ghali in Taraba State
Troops from the Nigerian Army's 6 Brigade rescued kidnap victim Ghali in Taraba State during Operation Whirl Stroke. Ghali, who was abducted alongside another man in January, was found abandoned by his captors and received medical care before being reunited with his family. Brigadier Kingsley Uwa highlighted the need for intensified military efforts to secure the release of the remaining victim and apprehend the kidnappers.

Troops from the Nigerian Army's 6 Brigade, part of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), rescued a kidnap victim named Ghali in Dogon Gawa, Takum LGA, Taraba State. The rescue occurred during operations on Tuesday, following the victim's abduction along with another man, Simon Oluchukwu, on January 11 at Gbise village, Mbayonga, Benue State.
Their driver was killed during the kidnapping. Ghali was found abandoned by his captors, provided medical care post-rescue, and reunited with his family. Brigadier Kingsley Uwa, Commander of the 6 Brigade, emphasized the need for intensified military operations to secure the release of the remaining victim and capture the kidnappers. The army reiterated its commitment to ensuring safety and peace in the region.
