The Nigerian Army Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) is advancing standardisation, accountability, and transparency in estate management. CEO Major General Isaiah Allison announced initiatives during a meeting with Post-Service Housing Estate Residents Associations (POHERA) chairmen on January 19, 2026, in Abuja.
He emphasized that housing built under the Army Housing Ownership Option for Officers and Soldiers scheme is not for sale, serving solely as retirement homes for military personnel. PHDL will implement quarterly audits and inspections to ensure compliance with governance standards.
The meeting also introduced a joint signatory arrangement for estate accounts to enhance financial transparency and featured capacity-building sessions on financial management. Additionally, all residents' associations will be renamed POHERA, adopting a unified logo and letterhead for better coordination.
