Nigerian Navy and NIMASA Enhance Collaboration for Maritime Safety
The Nigerian Navy called for strengthened collaboration with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in hydrography to improve navigational safety. Rear Admiral Abdullahi Mustapha emphasized the existing partnership's success, particularly the integration of NIMASA's C4i Centre with the Navy's Falcon Eye system.
He highlighted the acquisition of two hydrographic vessels to aid wreck removal operations. NIMASA's Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, noted that improved maritime security is crucial for President Bola Tinubu's economic diversification agenda and investor confidence. Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a secure maritime environment.
