Nikon Sells MRMC to Blandford Capital
Nikon has finalized an agreement to sell its camera robotics business, MRMC, to Blandford Capital. This strategic divestment follows Nikon's acquisition of MRMC in 2016, aimed at realigning its business portfolio.

Nikon has agreed to transfer its entire stake in MRMC, a camera robotics firm, to Blandford Capital through a newly established entity, MRMC Bidco. The sale reflects Nikon's ongoing reassessment of its business strategy, which includes leveraging MRMC's robotic technologies with its imaging solutions.
Nikon acquired MRMC in October 2016, maintaining it as a separate entity and collaborating with Red cameras post-2024. This transition may impact Nikon’s future developments in imaging technology and robotics integration, potentially altering competitive dynamics in the camera industry.
