Niron Magnetics Initiates Site Selection for New 1.6 Million Sq Ft Permanent Magnet Plant in the U.S.
Niron Magnetics is seeking a location for a new 1.6 million sq ft manufacturing plant in the U.S. to produce rare-earth-free Iron Nitride permanent magnets. The facility aims to manufacture up to 10,000 tons annually, supporting 1-2% of the global market. The project is expected to involve a capital investment of $1.8 billion and create over 700 jobs. Construction is anticipated to start in early 2028.
