NNPC Ltd Signs Six Gas Agreements to Enhance Energy Security and Industrialisation
NNPC Ltd has signed six important agreements aimed at improving gas utilisation and energy security in Nigeria. These partnerships include MoUs and GSAs with Ajaokuta Steel Company and UTM FLNG, signaling a strategic move towards industrial growth and sustainable economic development.

During the 25th NOG Energy Week, NNPC Ltd signed six agreements with various partners to enhance gas utilisation and energy security. Key agreements include a 20-year GSAA with Ajaokuta Steel Company to supply 3MMscf/d and a 15-year WGSPA with UTM FLNG for 200MMscf/d, supporting the latter's project financing for a Final Investment Decision in Q4 2026.
Additionally, three Network Entry Agreements were signed with Chevron, AGPC, and NEPL, expected to inject 800MMscf/d into Nigeria's gas network. These agreements aim to catalyse local content development and solidify Nigeria's role in global industrial markets, while enhancing domestic gas supply and infrastructure capabilities.
