NNPC Reports N385 Billion Profit Amid Increased Oil Production in January 2026
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) reported a profit after tax of N385 billion for January 2026, with crude oil and condensate production reaching 1.64 million barrels per day. Total revenue for the month was N2.571 trillion, and statutory payments to the federation amounted to N726 billion. Natural gas production averaged 7,283 mmscf/d. Despite this, petrol availability at NNPC Retail Limited stations was only 54%, highlighting ongoing supply challenges.

Natural gas production improved to an average of 7,283 mmscf/d, attributed to maintenance at the Agbami oil field and Renaissance facilities. However, production was affected by bad weather and asset integrity issues.
The Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben Gas Pipeline project is progressing as planned, with upstream pipeline availability at 96%. Despite these gains, petrol availability at NNPC Retail stations averaged 54% in January. Crude sales included 24.75 million barrels of crude oil and 1 million barrels of condensate.
