NOCC Orders Fourth LNG Dual-Fuel Car Carrier from CIMC Raffles in China

NATURAL GAS

Norwegian Car Carriers (NOCC) has placed an order for a fourth 7,000-ceu LNG dual-fuel vessel at CIMC Raffles in China, enhancing its fleet renewal strategy. The contract was finalized in late 2025, adding to three similar vessels already ordered.

The new vessel will operate on liquefied natural gas and conventional fuel, aligning with NOCC's goals to reduce emissions and meet international environmental regulations. CIMC Raffles has started delivering vessels under this program, having recently handed over NOCC Pacific, the first PCTC built for NOCC.

With this order, NOCC's fleet expansion accelerates, increasing its total to four operational vessels, with three more scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2027. NOCC is advised by JP Morgan and was fully owned by the financial group as of 2023.
