Norse Atlantic Airways to Launch Direct Flights from UK to Islamabad, Pakistan International Airlines Resumes Service
Norse Atlantic Airways has received approval to launch direct flights from the UK to Islamabad, enhancing Pakistan's international air connectivity. Concurrently, Pakistan International Airlines will resume its direct service to London Heathrow on March 29, 2026, after a six-year break, initially offering four weekly flights. These developments aim to improve competition, service standards, and airfares while reconnecting overseas Pakistanis with their homeland.

Pakistan has approved UK airline Norse Atlantic Airways to operate direct flights to Islamabad from London, Manchester, and Birmingham. This initiative reflects Pakistan's aim to enhance international air connectivity.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the entry of international airlines will foster competition, improve service standards, and balance airfares. Additionally, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume direct flights to London Heathrow Airport, starting March 29, 2026, after a six-year hiatus.
PIA plans to operate four flights per week initially, with potential frequency increases in the future. Asif emphasized the importance of these developments for reconnecting overseas Pakistanis with their homeland.
