Northern Kentucky to Receive $18.5M Federal Funding for Infrastructure and Education Projects

Northern Kentucky is set to receive approximately $18.5 million in federal funding for various projects, including transportation, infrastructure, defense, and education, pending presidential approval of the appropriations bill. The City of Covington will receive $4.5 million for the Covington Central Riverfront Podium and Land Bridge Infrastructure project, which features a parking garage, a riverfront podium, and an elevated public park.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is allocated $9.5 million for reconstructing Taxiway M and an apron at Concourse A. The Life Learning Center in Covington will receive $2.7 million for programs addressing substance abuse and career readiness. Additionally, Burlington's Kentucky National Guard facility will be funded with $1.875 million for vehicle maintenance shop furnishings.
