Northrop Grumman to Deliver Tracking Systems for US PWSA Satellite Mission
The Space Development Agency (SDA) has awarded Northrop Grumman a contract to provide integrated missile warning and tracking satellites for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) mission. The systems will monitor hypersonic weapons from launch to interceptor impact and provide targeting data for intercepting hypersonic missiles.
Northrop Grumman is also responsible for the transport layer, enabling high-bandwidth data transfer globally. Currently, 150 satellites are in production, with the first tranche-1 satellites scheduled for launch in Q1 2026. PWSA, launched in 2019, aims to enhance US space superiority through a resilient satellite constellation design.
