Norway and the UK are collaborating on a joint acquisition of up to 30 new vessels for coastal operations, enhancing their defense cooperation. The vessels are designed for demanding maritime conditions, improving speed, endurance, and situational awareness. A Request for Information has been issued to assess market options, with plans to build the vessels in Norway. This initiative is part of the broader Lunna House Agreement, aimed at strengthening military capabilities and security in the North Atlantic and Arctic regions.

Norway and the UK are considering a joint acquisition of up to 30 new Joint Commando Craft for coastal operations to enhance defense cooperation. The vessels will transport personnel and equipment under demanding conditions, offering improved speed, endurance, and situational awareness.
Each vessel will be up to 24 meters long, with a displacement of up to 60 tons, capable of operating independently for several days. A Request for Information has been issued to evaluate market options, including potential solutions and production capacity in Norwegian shipyards.
