Nova Minerals Confirms Preliminary Talks on Antimony Sourcing from Pakistan

DEFENSE

Nova Minerals Limited has stated that discussions regarding the potential sourcing of antimony from Pakistan are preliminary and exploratory, contrary to media reports suggesting a firm arrangement. The US-based mining exploration company clarified that talks are focused on assessing the feasibility of sourcing antimony concentrate for testing purposes and do not constitute any binding agreement.

The company’s primary focus for 2026 remains on completing a feasibility study for its gold assets and starting production of military-grade antimony trisulfide, supported by a $43.4 million award from the US Department of Defense. Previous reports indicated a strategic partnership with Himalayan Earth Exploration to explore antimony and strengthen US-Pakistan economic ties. Nova Minerals may consider purchasing over 100 tons of antimony concentrate from Pakistan for about $2 million early next year, with potential downstream processing in Pakistan dependent on initial assessments.
