Houston will engage in a panel on Atlantic Canada's oil and gas future and hold discussions with energy industry leaders. Nova Scotia has a history of over 25 years of safe offshore exploration, generating $3.7 billion in provincial revenue.
The province is currently advancing its offshore development strategy, including oil, natural gas, wind, and carbon storage initiatives. Houston's administration has seen significant changes, including lifted restrictions on fracking and uranium, and he has made multiple trips related to energy, totaling 26 in 2025 and seven in 2026 alone.
