NSWC Dahlgren Hosts Midshipmen from NSWC Indian Head for Facility Tour
On June 17, NSWC Dahlgren Division welcomed four Naval Academy midshipmen for a facility tour, emphasizing engagement in hypersonics and battle management systems. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) hosted four midshipmen from the Naval Academy on June 17, focusing on hypersonics and battle management systems. Commanding Officer Captain Stephen Plew emphasized the importance of understanding complex systems for future Navy operations.
The midshipmen, interning at the NSWC Indian Head Division, toured the Potomac River Test Range and received briefings on innovative technologies, including a new weapon system. The initiative highlights the commitment to prepare upcoming naval officers with essential engineering knowledge.
