NSWC IHD Partners with MBDA for Propulsion Systems Development
NSWC Indian Head Division has signed a 20-year Public-Private Partnership with MBDA Incorporated for the development of propulsion systems and warheads. This collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of tactical weapon systems to meet current and future military needs.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has established a 20-year Public-Private Partnership with MBDA Incorporated to enhance propulsion systems and warheads for military applications. This agreement, signed on May 25, enables collaborative efforts to improve the range, effectiveness, and safety of tactical weapon systems while utilizing existing industrial plant complexes at NSWC IHD.
Since its designation as a Center for Industrial and Technical Excellence in May 2014, NSWC IHD has formed six P3 agreements and is pursuing additional partnerships. This initiative may positively impact the scientific community, commercial sectors, and the economy by leveraging existing technology.
