NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. is set to establish a 1,200 MW solar power park in Anantapur, spanning Kanekal, Rayadurg, and D. Hirehal mandals. The initiative aims to attract substantial investments, potentially in the thousands of crores, while supporting the state's clean energy objectives.
The project is expected to create employment opportunities during both construction and operation, enhancing local infrastructure and economic activity. Following completion, the solar park will provide renewable energy to the grid, aiding in carbon emission reduction and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a significant player in the renewable sector. Additionally, it aims to support the drought-affected Rayalaseema region.
