NVIDIA Launches Halos for Robotics: A New Safety System for Humanoid Robots
NVIDIA Halos for Robotics aims to establish a standardized safety architecture for robots in industrial environments. This initiative is critical as humanoid robots increasingly operate alongside human workers, necessitating enhanced safety protocols.

NVIDIA has introduced Halos for Robotics, a comprehensive safety system designed for robots and physical AI. This initiative integrates AI compute, safety applications, and sensor data into a cohesive architecture, addressing the complexities of operating in dynamic environments.
The system draws on over 18,600 engineering years of experience in autonomous development, emphasizing the importance of real-time decision-making and safety in robotics. The Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, recognized by ANSI, will assist partners in achieving compliance with safety standards like ISO 13849.
Early access for NVIDIA Halos Core is available for developers, supporting Linux configurations. The certification aspect is crucial, as it ensures the safety of AI components and cybersecurity measures before deployment.
