Odisha Plans to Become Green Energy Hub by 2036 with Renewable Initiatives
Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled a plan to transform the state into a green energy hub by 2036, emphasizing renewable energy initiatives such as solar parks, decentralized solar systems, and wind energy development along the coast. The strategy aims to attract investments in green hydrogen production, upgrade infrastructure for stable power supply, and create employment opportunities in green energy sectors, alongside policy reforms to encourage private investment.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a roadmap to establish the state as a green energy hub by 2036, focusing on renewable energy and sustainable practices. The plan includes large-scale solar parks, decentralized solar adoption, and floating solar projects.
Wind energy development is also prioritized along coastal areas with potential partnerships for wind farms. The state aims to attract investments in green hydrogen production to support local industries.
Infrastructure upgrades, including green energy corridors, are planned to ensure stable power supply. Employment opportunities in green energy manufacturing and training programs for local communities are also highlighted. Policy reforms will aim to attract private investment.
